Our clients in Richmond Hill wanted to turn their basement into a chic little entertainment haven. The challenge? Townhouse basements are long and narrow, so we needed a smart layout to keep everything feeling open and flowing.
The wish list: a custom bar, living room, office nook, 3-piece bathroom, storage space, and an unfinished utility area for the furnace and water heater.
When you’re working with a smaller space, it’s all about creating one killer focal point—and for this project, we went all-in on a showcase bar. We used the same quartz stone from the countertop as the backsplash and took it all the way to the ceiling for a seamless, high-end look. Add floating shelves with accent LED lighting above to spotlight the bottles and below to illuminate the counter, and you’ve got yourself a showstopper.
We also made the most of every inch by adding open shelving in the fireplace niche and painting some accent walls green to set the perfect vibe.
The 3-piece bathroom? Custom walk-in shower with tile and glass, plus a sleek toilet and vanity.
The result: a basement that’s now the favourite hangout spot in the house. Want to transform your townhouse basement? Let’s make it happen!
