Luxury Basement Renovation, Aurora

What started off as a simple request to enlarge and replace the existing basement walk-out door for a nicer view of the new pool turned into a full-scale one-of-a-kind basement project with interesting basement design challenges that got us excited. First, we removed one structural post in order to open up the living room area. We moved around the HVAC in the ceiling in order to accommodate a coffered ceiling with hidden LED string lights around the perimeter.  The basement kitchen/bar featured a wine cellar display, hidden bar bridge and microwave and the largest island we’ve ever built able to seat 12 people. We built a custom accent wall with built-in shelving and cabinets with a huge 100″ Napoleon fireplace. In the bathroom we added a 5’x7′ sauna and a large custom rain shower.
