Our clients in Wasaga Beach, Ontario, wanted their basement to serve as a functional and stylish extension of their bungalow. Since bungalows often have a larger footprint, this basement was spacious, offering endless possibilities for creative basement design. As experienced basement contractors, we faced the exciting challenge of crafting a layout that met our clients’ extensive and complex wish list. The basement finishing project included a large living room complete with a cozy fireplace and custom-built cabinets. Additionally, the laundry room was relocated closer to the stairs and thoughtfully designed with ample storage and a generous folding surface. The centerpiece of this basement transformation is a luxurious guest bedroom suite featuring a spacious 4-piece bathroom. The design included a separate water closet, a freestanding bathtub, a shower/steam room combo, and an impressive 6’x8′ cedar sauna, large enough to comfortably accommodate six people.
